Peanut Buttery Strawberry Shortcakes

Here’s a semi-homemade recipe that’s a peanut buttery twist on classic strawberry shortcakes. Each bite is a journey into sweet & nutty perfection!

Ingredients

  • 4 large (2 oz. each) unbaked refrigerated biscuits
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 3 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1/2 cup Peanut Butter & Co. White Chocolatey Wonderful peanut butter spread
  • 1 cup prepared whipped cream

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Dip the top and sides of each biscuit in butter and then coat with sugar. Place the biscuits on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake 13 to 17 minutes or until golden brown. Allow it to cool for 5 to 7 minutes.
  2. Put the peanut butter in a microwave safe bowl and heat in 5 second pulses until gently melted.
  3. To assemble, slice each biscuit in half and spoon half of the melted peanut butter on the 4 bottom halves of the biscuits. Add 3/4 cup of sliced strawberries and then the top half of the biscuit. Top with whipped cream and drizzle the remaining melted peanut butter on top. Serve immediately.
